Engineering Manager AI

Overview

As the leader of the AI software engineering team, you will guide the development of the AI agent orchestration platform at a major European tech company. You will stay hands-on with code while mentoring engineers to deliver scalable, observable multi-agent systems. You will shape the team’s technical priorities in partnership with product and AI platform teams, and evolve the architecture to support secure, memory-aware, context-driven workflows. This role offers impact at scale, with a strong emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and delivering customer value.

Responsabilità

Lead and grow a team of AI software engineers focused on agent orchestration and multi-agent workflows

Maintain hands-on coding and conduct technical reviews

Experiment with frontier models and evaluation harnesses, integrating effective solutions into the platform

Set the team’s priorities in collaboration with Team

System product teams and the AI platform organization

Collaborate with Architecture to ensure a robust, scalable, and observable platform

Define the evolution of the agentic architecture, including components, APIs, and standards

Requisiti fondamentali

≥5 years of software engineering experience with strong foundations in system design and modern practices

Hands-on experience with AI technologies (models, memory, evaluation harnesses, context management)

Proven track record building platforms or services used by other development teams, including API design and managing cross-team dependencies

Curiosity with a strong experimental mindset and quick prototyping abilities

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fluent in Italian and English
